Stanley, North Carolina was called Brevard Station in the early 1800’s. It was a trading center of Catawba Springs and Ironton Townships in Lincoln County, Riverbend and Dallas Townships in Gaston County. We call this area the Magnolia Circle named after a tree because this tree was indigenous to this area.
